Ten Years

It has been ten years since high school!
Our indomitable Grad President now returning as 10 Year Reunion Planner asked us all to submit a write up and some photos for our reunion book.
 How many photos?
Five!
People, here's some simple math calculations,
that's one photo for every two years!
Ya, I know!
Try that once, sum up 10 years of your life in 5 photos.
I gave it my best shot and here they are...
Because this is one of like two
somewhat decent shots of me in five whole years...

Until this...

I think having babies was good for me physically...it took a little chub out of my cheeks.

A little get away.
I am secretly planning another one for my Mr to celebrate when he finishes school.
Shhhhh, don't tell.

If you think this is nice visit my friend here.

I took this one all by my selfie, isn't that a beeuuteeful sofa?

There were so many good times in 10 years, five just isn't enough.

Snow Day

My Mom told me snow is God's gift to mothers,
She also gave me this good idea.
The perfect winter activity!
Bring the best part of winter into the warmth of your house.

It kept  the kids enthralled for more than an hour
(that's a nice long time wouldn't you agree?)
It's as fun as sand and even better because it's so much cleaner, the kids can even wipe up the puddles themselves.
There were so happy and having a really good time together,
And that makes me feel happy too.

It also works great in the tub.  A whole tub full of snow, that's two hours of fun! They were laughing like maniacs when they realised they could thow the slushy melty blobs at the wall.

Also today they turned on the bathroom tap full blast and sprayed water everywhere.  I followed the sounds of glee up the stairs to see what they were up to because something that fun could not be legal.
But it sounded so good that I had my camera ready to video just in case.
There they were in the bathroom, Edmund perched on the counter in nothing but his socks and a diaper, the tap going full blast.
They had their little hands pressed against the faucet and water was spraying everywhere!
And what did I do?
Did I yell, did I get them in trouble?
I did not!
I just videoed them and laughed along.
It was joyous!
When we were done I gave them towels and they wiped that up too.
Then I showed them the video while they screamed with laughter.

Good Things
  • Looks like my Mystery Man will be able to have Two finals moved so we can attent a very important family event (fingers crossed)
  • I am cleaning out my bedroom closet
  • Am feeling hopeful and productive

Seriously Irrational

PMS makes me jealous.
It also makes me grumpy, ragey, and soryformyselfish.
Pretty much everyone I see I am jealous of, literally.
Like, for example, the only person I saw at Wal-Mart today that I didn't think had it better than me was the obviously homeless man fingering through his wallet.
Everyone else was with their families, or they didn't have families and were free to hang out with their friends and do as they liked, or they got to have a job (at Wal-Mart).
See where I'm going with this?
It's not rational.
And then, oh boy, I need to keep myself away from facebook cause there's actual, photographic proof that everyone is happier and has a better life than me.
Look at all the fun things they do!
Look at all the great friends they have adventures with!
Look at all the cute pics their husbands take of them!
Seriously I should just be locked up for 72 hours till the crazy subsides and my sense of perspective comes back.
I probably shouldn't post this post.
I might regret it in a couple of days but right now I really can't tell.
Maybe it's funny.

Peace out.
